Toby Tolley, Head Coach - Foil, Epee
Ms. Tolley has fenced for 18 years on both the national and international level. Her achievements include World Cup
points, Division 1A National Champion and 5 Sectional Championships. Prior to opening Duke City Fencing, she represented
the New York Atheltic Club in competition.
Ms. Tolley maintains her "A" rating in her competitive weapon -- epee.

- Moniteur d' Escrime, US Fencing Coaches Assoc. (USFCA)
- Level Three Coach in epee and foil through the US Fencing Coaches' College
- Five years as head coach for 3-Weapon high school teams
- Certified CPR and Sports First Aid
- American Sport Education Program Certitifed (ASEP)
- Over eight years experience with adult and youth programs
Ms. Tolley is also a nationally and internationally rated referee. She referees for the US Fencing
Association at home and abroad.

Nikita Sakhanenko, Coach - Saber
Nikita began his fencing training at the age of seven at the Victoria Fencing Club in Russia and was a member of the
Cadet Saber Team of the Novosibirsk region of the Russian Federation from 1994 - 1995.
Nikita earned his Master of Sports from the Russian Federation in 1996 and is a credentialed USFA coach. Nikita
currently has a "B" rating.

Larry Brock, Assistant Coach - Foil, Epee
Mr. Brock starting fencing at age 11 and hasn't stopped yet. His experience includes competition at
the collegiate level -- leading the UC Santa Barbara team to a league championship -- and on the
national level in all age groups-- Youth, Senior and Veteran.
Mr. Brock began fencing in Southern California training with coaches George Clovis (a student of Heizaburo Okawa)
and Russian fencing master Mark Berger.

John Arnold, Assistant Coach - Foil
John has been fencing foil for five years and epee for two. He trained under under Croatian World cup foilists
Igor Stefanic and Ozren Debic at Culver Academy in Northern Indiana and with the Notre Dame fencing team.
After only two years of fencing, John took third place at the Midwest High School Championships -- an event comprised
of 23 schools from 5 different states. Each summer he returns to Culver Academy as a counselor to teach fencing.
John has a "B" rating in epee and a "B" in foil.
